A really wonderful human being. Thoughtful and compassionate, Pat offers perspective and insight to younger lawyers. Extremely diligent and hard-working, Pat has never had anything served to him on a silver platter (except maybe dinner). But his cheerful and caring spirit in the midst of law firm drudgery and snobbery makes him one of the brightest, and perhaps most underappreciated, stars at Covington. Love this guy.

Pat is a superb mentor with a grounded sense of self and a committment to his clients. He is truly one of my favorite partners to work for whenever the opportunity presents itself. I also hear he makes a darn good chocolate chip pancake, although he has yet to make them for me.
